EMPOWERING
people in pain

A paradigm shift in the treatment of chronic conditions

Hello, I’m Emma …

Emma Longley. Who is an experienced Physiotherapist, she is trained in Pain Reprocessing Therapy. She enjoys treating chronic conditions through this mind body lens.

I learnt  that pain isn’t always a mechanical problem that needs fixing. Pain is a protection response from the body, alerting us to change something.

I have now trained in Pain Reprocessing Therapy, a treatment method that utilises up to date neuroscience and implements the mind-body connections into the treatment method. An effective approach for people who have not responded to typical treatment. Moving away from symptom management and towards meaningful, lasting change.

I’ve worked as a physiotherapist for many years, supporting people in pain. While traditional physiotherapy helps some, I kept seeing many patient’s who followed the physio plan perfectly, yet their pain would persist. It led me to question the way we understand pain.

Pain reprocessing therapy is an evidence-based approach for people suffering with persistent pain, that may not have responded typical treatment (e.g. physiotherapy).

Rooted in neuroscience research, it treats the overprotective system, rather than the specific pain site.

Most importantly - it works. Research has shown pain reprocessing therapy can lead to significant and lasting pain reduction for many people compared to other treatments.

Feel, Educate, Rewire, Recover to symbolise the pain reprocessing - a neuroscience backed method to recover from chronic symptoms. A mind and body approach to chronic pain recovery.
